I want to start off by saying that I love Cor Blok's work, and his depictions of Middle Earth. His style is whimsical and primitive, not to mention amusing to view. For these reasons, I was excited when I saw that his work was being used in the Tolkien 2011 Calendar. However, i was disappointed when I received this. Rather than allowing his work to take up the full page, it is shown very small with a lot of text quotation below it. I was hoping this calendar would have full page prints of his work because I had hoped to keep a few and possibly frame them. Unfortunately I wont be able to do this. Also some of the prints are not even his better Tolkien pieces. The one on the cover of the calendar is by far the best shown, and it's not even in the calendar! So the only version you have is the one on the cover of the calendar with writing on it. I was really hoping for a better representation of Blok's work.
